On Thursday, May 19th we will hold our monthly borrel at the Amsterdam Pirates. We will start at 18.00 and hear about baseball in Holland from the coach of the national team, Brian Farley. At 19.45 we'll see the first pitch between the Pirates and UVV and we are welcome to stay for the entire game. Don't miss this special AABC event!America's Pastime: Baseball. No other sport is so woven through American culture like baseball. Every year, the International Herald Tribune runs the famous poem "Casey at the Bat" on the eve of opening day. Congress once debated the use of aluminum bats in the sport. The New York Yankees logo is one of the most identifiable trademarks in the world. High time for the AABC to pay a visit to the old ball game.
